Can we let the fathers have their day please?

Okay I get it. There are a lot of shitty, no good, never calling, not in their child’s life fathers out there. But wishing women Happy Father’s Day? I really, really have a problem with that.

For one I think that we have a bad habit of both telling and showing men that there are not important in raising a child. I mean how many times have you heard a woman reply that her child’s father is “dead”. I actually heard someone tell their child once when the child was crying because they couldn’t see them for Christmas “That’s okay, the check will be here soon”.

So the one day that we have to celebrate the men that are in their child’s life we expect for them to share it? I think that is another way of showing them that they are not that important. Dang, can they have one day. #imjustsayin

Is Sexting Cheating?

They posed this question on the radio station today and I had to think about it. If you send naked pictures of yourself to someone is it automatically cheating or is it cheating when you imply that you intend to have sex with the person. Plus, how is this different from flirting except that it is a more extreme form?

The dictionary defines cheating as “to practice fraud or deceit” so I guess technically it is cheating. Although I do believe that doing something like this is a form of cheating and probably an indication that your relationship has problems, if I were married I wouldn’t divorce my husband because of it. Would I break up with a boyfriend? I think it would depend on a lot of other factors.
